Dermal Fillers

Ashland Dermal Fillers, Restylane and Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse

Dermal Fillers provide a long-lasting, non-permanent natural enhancement that is gentle and safe for your skin. Fillers can be used for deep wrinkles, fine lines, and contouring on the face, hands, and chest. Dermal fillers enhance your appearance immediately without any down time.

Before Dermal Fillers:

Before Dermal Fillers, the patient should stop all medications that can thin the blood (i.e.: Aspirin, Advil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Multivitamins, most herbs, and homeopathic remedies, St. John's wart, ect.). If the patient has previously suffered from cold sores, they should consult with us about medications to take prior to the procedure to minimize a reoccurrence.

Post Care for Dermal Fillers:

The treated area may be a little red or swollen. The patient should immediately place a cold compress after treatment to reduce swelling. The patient should also avoid large facial expressions, and touching the treated area for six hours. Intense heat should not be around the treated area for several days.

Restylane and Perlane

Ashland Dermal Fillers, Restylane and Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse

Restylane and Perlane are safe and natural cosmetic dermal fillers that restore volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds.

How does Restylane and Perlane work?

Restylane and Perlane are made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the human body. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane and Perlane is a crystal-clear gel, called NASHA or Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid. NASHA is completely biocompatible with human hyaluronic acid.

How long will Restylane and Perlane last?

This is a long lasting treatment, however it is not permanent. The length of time the treatment will maintain is dependent upon age, skin type, area treated, and life-style. With a recommended touch-up at four or nine months, the FDA has approved that Restylane and Perlane can be effective for up to 18 months.

Juvederm

Juvederm is a safe and natural cosmetic gel filler that restores and adds volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds. Juvederm comes in two forms; Ultra and Ultra Plus.

How does Juvederm work?

Juvederm is a smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. It instantly restores your skin's volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, like your "smile lines" or "parentheses" (nasolabial folds - the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth).

How long will Juvederm last?

Juvederm is FDA approved to last for one year. The length of time the treatment will maintain is dependent upon age, skin type, area treated, and life-style.

Radiesse

Ashland Dermal Fillers, Restylane and Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse

Radiesse® is a biodegradable dermal filler that is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. It is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure. Radiesse dermal filler is the ideal choice for total facial contouring. It can restore a healthy, youthful appearance, enhance your existing features, help you defy age and gravity, and increase your confidence. Radiesse can also be used to restore a youthful look on your hands and fill in the lines that develop on the chest.

How does Radiesse work?

Radiesse dermal filler works with your own body by stimulating your body to produce new collagen growth around the injection area. Upon injection, it immediately adds volume to safely contour, correct, and beautify facial features, hands, or the chest. Radiesse actually helps your body create its own naturally younger look, setting a new standard in facial contouring and augmentation.

How long does Radiesse last?

Radiesse is clinically proven to last for up to one year. But again the length of time the treatment will maintain is dependent upon age, skin type, area treated, and life-style.

Before Radiesse treatment:

Ashland Dermal Fillers, Restylane and Perlane, Juvederm, Radiesse

Before Radiesse, the patient should stop all medications that can thin the blood which will help alleviate injection site bruising. (i.e.: Aspirin, Advil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Multivitamins, most herbs, and homeopathic remedies, St. John's wart, ect.).

Post Care for Radiesse treatment:

Bruising at the injection site is common which can be easily covered by makeup. Temporary swelling can be expected which can be treated with cold compresses for several hours. It is normal to experience some tenderness at the treatment site for a few days. Avoid the sun and tanning beds for 3-5 days.
