Electrolysis

How does Electrolysis work?
A tiny, metal probe is inserted into the hair follicle; the tiny probe releases an electronic charge or current which destroys the hair at the root source. This technology is most effective for light hair and gray hair. The results are dependent upon the amount of hair to be removed, and this process can take a bit longer, however it can be more effective for the facial area.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments is dependent upon many factors such as area treated and type of hair treated. Ageless Aesthetics normally recommends at least five to seven treatments in order for maximum results to be obtained.
Before Treatment:
Do not pluck, wax, or shave before treatment so that there is enough hair for the probe to attach to.
Post Treatment:
The patient should avoid sun exposure for 30 days after the Electrolysis treatment. Some individuals may experience scabbing, and an antibiotic cream may be applied if this occurs. Makeup can't be applied to the treated area for up to 48 hours. The area should also be protected with 30 SPF for 30 days in order to prevent hyperpigmentation.
